To be fair, the apex species in the one planet we destroyed were these creatures that liked to vomit on everything. They were fierce fighters, but not the smartest thing in the universe.

But I guess it should be interesting to see how future planets go.
They gave us that much, at least. Even if the outfits were pretty boring. The shopping channel at least opened up at some point so I could get better looking clothes.
We wouldn't be very useful dead.

Everyone was given CDC-issued guns and hunting knives. I came with my katana, so I didn't need any additional weapon.
FROM: trip@cdc.org That means something, especially given the recruits and your weapon of choice. Can't exactly pick enemies off from afar with a katana.

Vomited.

On everything.

Yep. It was a pain in the ass to wash off too.

Disgusting.

I'm glad I missed that planet.

Some things were kinda fun, like fighting four-legged sharks, but the whole arctic tundra thing made it pretty lame a lot of the time.

I'm assuming they provided proper clothing given the lack of deaths from hypothermia.
But did they provide better weaponry for fighting the sharks?

Would you consider yourself an exceptional human?
no subject
Geez, that's a hell of a question to ask someone.
That'd depend on what you consider exceptional.

Modesty, or honest curiousity?
FROM: trip@cdc.org
I'd have to think how to define one here, though. Can't work off a baseline that doesn't universally exist.

I don't know anything about you. Exceptional could mean anything from being a physically strong person to being a saint in character.
FROM: jacobs.shinobu@cdc.org
I could kick most people's asses, among us recruits, but that might not mean anything to you.
[HA. Modesty.]

My katana isn't exactly normal.
[Or maybe it was her who wasn't normal.
We just don't know, in this canon.Regardless, she had a way of dealing with long distances.]FROM: jacobs.shinobu@cdc.org
If I didn't have a way to deal with many different types of battles, I wouldn't be worth as much to the CDC.
